is to carry out audience measurement audits for all media.
The CESP
audits cover the following aspects :
- Methodology
: survey design, adaptation to market requirements, construction of the sample (sampling
frame, sampling design, etc), the principal of collecting information, data processing,
weighting, chosen indicators and analysis of the results obtained.
- Implementation
: presence at the interviewers' briefing, monitoring and observation, presence during
recruitment of panellists, quality of the sample recruited, panel management, auditing of
the data, quality-control for the data collected, etc.
The CESP
is also the forum for meetings and discussion, enabling the profession to exchange issues
on media audience research.
The CESP
is frequently sought, as in France as abroad, to bring expertises on works connected to
the media, on the development of news techniques or tools. It is so a laboratory of ideas
and methodologies.
